I'm in mourning.

Yep. Both pain pumps are gone. The little guys gave it their all. The crew sure can tell a difference around here without them!

And we lost a JP. Yeah. This soldier went into battle lame from the beginning. Unfortunately the medic on hand didn't know how to save him. He'll be laid to rest Thursday.

I'm sure I'd be missing pain pumps if I had them too.

How did you lose your jp? I'm ready to pull the damn things out lol. One is already producing low enough to get it out but he wants to wait until both are under 30 cc.

As much of a nuisance as the drains are, don't be in a rush to have them pulled.  My doc will only pull one at a time (I had 4 from a LBL) on the theory that when you pull one, any additional drainage shifts over to another one.  After he pulled the first one, which was producing almost nothing, the one next to it filled to the brim twice before it leveled off.  You want that fluid out of you!

I have 2 that are both producing pretty low already (the 1 hasn't produced more than 15 cc a day since Friday or Saturday) but he wants them both under 30. Right now I have an appointment scheduled for Friday for them to come out. The other has been around 50 a day but was lower last night so we'll see.

Emelar, I do know they are important. The one has never worked (#3) so #4 has been making up the job. It's next to nothing now. I expect 3 and 4 to be pulled but I think he'll be keeping at least #1. He's still going strong.

Jen,it's frustrating having the pumps and their tubes attached to me when they're not being utilized. I SO want to yank them! The one JP was dripping blood down my leg in the hospital from day 1. The nurses had no clue what to do and I never saw my surgeon. He said don't worry about it. So I'm going through gauze, towels and whatever I can find to keep the disgusting soaking liquid from sopping my clothes, which it does anyway. I'm on 3 beach towels on the coach! Thursday can't dome soon enough.

Oh no! That's crazy! My one has been "seeping" a little but its just there when I wipe after going to the bathroom and that's it. How are you feeling otherwise?
