Tomorrow  any words of advice or things I need to be aware of .  Wish I could find someone that has had this done not many posts on this. Very worried I won't be able to sit . I am worried about the compression  garments fit , (I bought two different sizes to be safe)  drain tubes .  I am not really scarred but worried I am not prepared right.  I am taking Bromelain and Arnica Montana   to help with healing and swelling.  Advice please!!!!!!!!!!! words of encouragement welcomed

It really all depends on how tight your PS pulls the skin. I didn't have any issue with tightness even though I love the results. The supplements that you are taking do a good job of limiting swelling and bruising. As far as the garment, take both and ask then which to use, make sure you bring the difference in sizing with you. Even if they choose the larger one, you may be able to switch to the smaller one in a week or so. I've had lots of drains through my procedures and the drains for the thigh lift were the least bothersome and the easiest to hide under pants. I needed no help stripping them just a little assistance getting in and out of the garment with them the first week or so. Good luck to you.

Thanks guys for the well wishes. Can you tell me if you could wear the same clothes home you went in?  What is the best thing to wear ?  Did you have leakage from the wounds ?  How long did  it take for you to drive ? Was it really hard to walk  I guess I am getting scared a little of what I have got myself into.  Did you have any trouble with the wounds healing right?

Good luck!.  If I can offer you any advice, make sure you take your laxative, soluable fiber, drink lots of water and try to have some applesauce or baby food prunes EVERY day.  You do NOT want to get constipated, which is very likely due to fluid loss in your body, pain meds, antibiotics and the trauma your body is going to undergo. Not to be gross, but sitting on the toilet with numb thighs is a bizzare feeling and getting up and down can be rough.  I resorted to standing over the commode to pee a few times before I could lower myself easier (but I had a LBL and inner thigh lip)

Best wishes to you!  Remember, the pain will be temporary, it will be worth it in the long run.

I wore stretchy pants so that it would be easy to get on and hide things. There will probably be some staining of the garment that they put on you but you should be able to get it clean or mostly clean. There may be some drainage from the drain holes. But if you experience it, just put a 4x4 gauze pad between your skin and the garment to diminish the staining. Walking should be relatively easy once you are up. Could be a little painful getting up but you are so concerned about pulling open your incisions that you take it slow thus extending the pain. You will be able to drive once you are off of the pain meds. I was on pain meds for only a few days and then a few more nights just to get a good nights sleep. Want to get off of them because of the constipation that they cause. You will probably experience most of your pain from the lipo. Make sure you take miralax, cool ace, or something like that while on pain meds - don't want any straining while this healing is going on. By one week out I was feeling like my old self again in spite of still having the drains in.

Steps were interesting the first few times. I had to take it nice and slow and kept my legs far apart so as not to bend them too much. The bandages really helped at the stage as they kept things pretty immobile. After the first shower the bandages came off and this got a little easier. I slept in my own bed after all of my procedures - never used a recliner - didn't need it.
