Day 5 like clockwork can't stop crying and I am so emotional
Just like clockwork day 5 crying and I am so emotional about everything. I am not having any pain and second guessing why I had to put myself through plastics? Why do I feel at 56 years old that I have to look good for myself or future boyfriend? Why can't I love myself the way I look (like a raisin). This is only stage one I need two more stages and I go back and fourth with myself if I am even going to do 2 more surgery's. I say maybe just one more surgery or no more surgery when will I feel better? So far my arms are doing well and healing great. I wonder how I would have been if I was having problems? I am so glad I have this board on days like this.

Sorry for all that emotions you have. They are completely normal.
After my TT on September 2010 i was swore that no more plastic for me, so much pain i had.
But i did breast lift and arms after. Plastic surgery is very painful, but end results are worthed pain and discomfort.
i still have issues with my armpits from April 11 but i like my arms.
Please try to think that all pain is temporary but results are permanent.
And once you will be pain free, you will more PS.
I wish you all the best.

This is a really big transition for anyone, there is tons of emotions involved. You're doing it because at one point, and probably still it is something you wanted. Pain is temporary, regret is forever. You're going to be happy with your changes, you're going to be happy in your own skin. That is what is most important, your happiness. Hang in there. I hope you feel better soon.
You are not alone Nance. {HUGS} Hang in there. I had the same reaction after bypass. Your emotions go crazy after a major surgery because your hormones are going crazy. Nobody tells you this part. It WILL get better.
First of all you did this for YOU! Not some man. Let's take it one procedure at a time. Okay?
Let's get through this one. Get rest, eat protein and water. If you are able, get some sunlight. I cried for three months after bypass. You will survive this and you will heal and be okay.
Not sure if you're alone during healing. Any help? I have teenagers and well.... they'd let me rot and die if it were entirely up to them! It's harder alone. Everything can wait. Right now just rest up and take care of you.
Thank you everybody, feeling much better today. I am going through this solo. That is why this board is so important to people who need advice. My advice to anyone is make yourself happy. If you believe one surgery is enough stop. If you want to proceed to another for yourself than no matter what your age go for it if you are healthy enough. Only you can decide what you really want. Even people who do the whole body lift in one surgery have to have a couple revisions so they end up with more that one or two surgeries. I went shopping and tried on summer dresses and was a size 14P and they looked beautiful do I need to cut my body in half to be a size 8? Only I can decide but right now I am leaning towards No! Only time will tell:)

That's our girl. Chin up! And don't you worry about the age number. I'm 45 and it took me two years to get emotionally ready for bypass and five years to get emotionally ready for LBL. It may take ten IF I decide to do another procedure. I'm not sure yet. I have to go live life for a while and see if I'm happy with the quality of it.
A 14 would be dreamy to me. I'm short and was 327 at my highest. I got down to a 16 at my very lowest but popped back up to a 20 and was stuck there until I had these plastics. I'm not even focused on size yet, Nance.I haven't stepped on a scale. I'm only focusing on healing. I made the decision to have a LBL because I had been settled into life and my body for a while. I was finding the extra 17 lbs of skin was keeping me back from a level of mobility I still wanted. I would walk w/ the girls at work and come back sticky, raw, and smelling. I couldn't bend to garden my yard or do housework properly. I had to stand in front of a fan for 15 minutes lifting up my tummy and butt to dry off the skin folds in them before getting dressed, and applying sprays of lotrimin and powder.
I'm single, too, but I'm going through this for ME. I bought a cute little house last year and I imagine the days when my kids are grown and I have grandkids Lord willing. I would love to make my DS's tiny bedroom into a toy room and paint it cute colors. I picture planting a garden w/ grandkids and baking cookies in my little kitchen with them. I want to do this for them. I don't want to be the grandma in the wheelchair or the grandma who is dead.
Thanks Cinn,
I happy for you congrats on your new house. Size is just a number I was a size 12 in my lifetime for about 8 years after I lost 120 lbs at age 21 to 29 then I had my son and gain all my weight back plus more to weigh in at 301. At least I was able to date in my twenties and found out I pick better dates fat than I did thin. I wish they had LBL and Body Lifts back then I would have been happier and maybe kept my weight off during pregnancy. Well this journey is mine since my husband and I divorced in April he said I changed. I did not change but that besides the point. I would like to meet someone to grow old with. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't we will have to wait and see.
