Got my date confirmed!

Hello All,

Just wanted to share the good news, I got my LBL and inner thigh lipo date confirmed this morning.  June 5th it is!  WOO HOOO!.

It is odd to me that it was such a struggle to get a quote from the hospital and confirm the date, especially since I will be paying out of pocket and there is no insurance company to get into the middle of it.  Has anyone else had a problem getting the hospital and the doctor's office to determine a quote and book the surgery (I'm booking thru RI Lifespan hospital, Miriam Hospital.  Which is a great facility but man! This has been a process)

And although the doc's office has been wonderfully nice, they just don't seem to have a lot of urgency about getting all of this decided and booked.  I realize I am but one of their many many patients, but this is a BIG deal life event for me and a little more urgency/ownership of this rather difficult process would have been very much appreciated.  The uncertainty made it very difficult to plan out life (taking vacation time, prepping the house/supplies, etc) not to mention the stress of wanting an answer.

But alas, no matter the hoops I've had to jump thru (and the physical pain that I am sure will be coming next), it will be worth it in the end.   Yippee!!!

Congrats on your date! As for me, my surgeon's office coordinated everything. It was easypeasy.

my surgeon gave me a quote when I went in for my consultation. My parents are pretty sure when they got the bill it was actually less, I need to dig up the original paperwork. I called the office about a week after my consult to schedule and got a date then. I probably could have had it done sooner but I wanted to wait until after graduation this week.
