FMLA/STD for LBL & BL/BA
Anyone have any difficulty getting FMLA for LBL, BL/BA? I'm having it on in one surgery and need to be off work for 4-6 weeks.
Thanks,
Amy
It really was a mute point for me. My boss knew what I was doing and with all the money they have invested in me he certainly wasn't going to fire me for being gone. Fmla really is just to guarantee your position remains available upon your return.
Good luck!!!
I had short term disability. Dr Sauceda wrote reconstruction surgery due to morbid obesity and abnormal body structures. Worked in California.

FMLA also covers cosmetic procedures if they involve hospitalization, so be sure to put that on the paperwork. I didn't need STD/FMLA, but my husband needed FMLA to come with me. We put reconstructive surgery and noted the hospitalization and he was approved no problem. STD is determined by each plan, so it may be an exclusion or you may have no problem.
