Has anyone had laser lipo?

I read a little about it. Apparently it is a fairly new technique and the laser melts fat cells. Has anyone tried this and if so what were your results?

I just read what one plastic surgeon posted about this procedure on real self...

I would recommend that you avoid any laser liposuction technique. They cause increased scarring and irregularity. It is very difficult to do revision liposuction because of the scarring. The hype and marketing directed to these techniques has made them popular, but this is not based on results. In recent Plastic Surgery meetings experts have advised against these techniques, My experience is the same.

I would recommend tumescent liposuction, which is the gold standard and very effective. New does not always mean better, and it usually means "more expensive".

I had Exilis treatment on my arms and bra fat area.  Not sure if that is what you mean about laser lipo (check out this link: http://www.polacekplasticsurgery.com/facial-rejuvenation/exilis.cfm)

It didn't do anything for me really.  And it hurt, because it is heat so it felt like getting burned sometimes, that wasn't fun.  It was a little expensive, not as much as surgery or regular lipo of course, but not exactly a bargin.  I paid about $3000 to have it done.  Since I didn't get results, they offered to let me go back around for another round at a discount, but honestly, at that point I didn't think it was worth the pain, aggravation (you have to go weekly for a set amount of weeks) or the added cost.     I'm having a LBL next month, so any work on my arms will have to wait.  But I am now considering having my arms done when I get a breast lift.     Hope that helps you.  Again, not sure if this is the same thing you are referring to, but that was my experience.

Thank you. I think it is the same thing. And I think I will pass on it. Like you, I am thinking of getting my arms done with breast aug and lift. Also thinking of having my thighs done and some additional lipo wherever needed.
