1 year later!!!!

Its been 1 year since my tt and hernia repair and i still get bad swelling! When is this gonna end? I had a rough recovery for those *****member me, fluid build up , infection, and pain. Thank god those days are over but im still very swollen from time to time. My last visit was back in oct 2012 and at that time there was only 10 cc of fluid that showed on the ct scan. My surgeon was very tired of seeing me saying there was nothing else he could doand i was a one of a kind case. The mesh that he used was that of pig skin biological mesh but still my body rejected and i had drains for almost 6 months. After all that he said he didnt want to keep putting drains in risk of infection. So here i am, still swollen and sometimes in pain. I really dont want to go back but think i have to soon. I hope this mesh is holding up. Maybe i should start wearing my binder again??
Anyone ever have this happen before??

Ditto on the second opinion, but not just the advice of another PS as if yours was an incompetent but also for a fresh set of eyes on your body surgically-wise. If you have been taking pics of yourself as you heal and recovery.
Pain and swelling are annoying to say the least.
And yes I remember your healing difficulties and related as I also had healing issues with dehiscence, slough and gangrene; debridement and a wound vac.
