What about stretch marks and question about belly button??
Ok.... I am wondering now about two things.
1. What was your experience like with stretch marks after a TT or LBL? I have had 3 kids (don't plan on having any more) and lost 120 lb's so I have stretch marks already, however they are not terrible all things considered. Are the stretch marks better or worse after PS ?
2. I am confused about the whole losing the belly button thing, I did watch a video and saw how the surgeon preserved the BB and then reattached it in a new spot, is this common practice or do they just "create" a new BB for you? I don't know how this works??
Thanks everyone!

There is a good chance that some of your stretch marks are on skin that will be removed with surgery. Remaining stretch marks will be the same, but will seem much better since many will be gone.
My surgeon relocated my own belly button as part of my LBL. Some surgeons used different techniques, especially if you need an anchor cut TT. Ask your surgeon what will happen in your case.

I basically had an 8 inch wide strip cut off all around my body and thankfully all of my stretch marks were in that strip of skin.
Yes, they are moving your belly button and reattaching it in a new spot, not creating a brand new belly button.

ok, Thanks Ladies, I am now wondering if there are new stretch marks created from how tight they pull your skin??

I did not get any new ones and do not recall anyone ever complaining about that. Here is a before after of my tummy. You can see the stretch marks in the top picture and that there are none in the bottom picture.

How ironic that you should post this topic because I came on the board tonight expressly to post about my stretch marks. I had horrible stretch marks from pregnancy that were all cut off during my TT. However last night the most bizarre thing happened. I am 18 days out from my TT and woke in pain last night. Not terrible pain but enough to wake me. My lower abdomen felt like a bunch of *****ers were against it. I reach down to feel the skin and I felt a ton of NEW stretch marks on my beautiful and previously unmarred skin. I looked in the mirror and my entire lower abdomen is covered in red stretch marks. Some go nearly as high as my new naval. UGH!!!!!!!!! I am so upset! And I worry that I will get more as swell hell is not over.
