LBL with mons lift and butt autoaug.... Somethings wrong?
on 4/29/13 10:35 pm
So, I had my LBL a week ago today. The incisions are all healing well. I have a few pockets of what could be seroma or cellulitis (they were seen on CT) but arent growing or getting worse or anything. My pain is finally under control thanks to a Fentanyl Patch and muscle relaxers. Im getting in plenty of fluids and eating bits and pieces as I can- basically just snacking throughout the day. Im getting in protein shakes and all my vitamins. Things are looking up in that regard.
There are however- three things Im concerned about. And now that Im feeling better physically, they are taking center stage of "need to be addressed"...
ONE- my butt was lifted so high and there was so much tissue used for the autoaugmentation that I no longer have a butt crack, and my anus is completely uncovered. This also extends to my vagina and my labia there do not fully close. It is pretty uncomfortable and makes going to the bathroom very uncomfortable and challenging. Im also having issues with hemorrhoids descending now (sorry, TMI, I know, but... If were being honest here). Im wondering if this will get better and things will drop and settle and improve once some swelling goes down? Its also VERY strange to feel like my butt is on my back... Is this normal? Anyone else have any experience with this?
TWO- the incisions on my thighs are VERY low and come down to a V. They are well below the line we marked out preop and will not be able to be concealed by any type of bathingsuit or underwear. I can only imagine once the swelling goes down, that these will travel even further down my outer thighs. Can these be revised? I am really REALLY angry about these. Like EXTREMELY livid. I brought it up to my surgeon and he kind of brushed it off, like "lets deal with healing from this first". NO, if you had done THIS right first, we wouldnt have to be discussing this issue.... I dont WANT another surgery where I have to pay you tens of thousands of dollars again to fix what you should have done right the first time...
THREE_ when I went for y first postop appt yesterday and they removed the binder, I already noticed that I STILL HAVE ROLLS and LOOSE SKIN in my abdomen. Ummmm. Am I not supposed to be pulled tight and even moreso now due to swelling? W.T.F. Did anyone else have this?
One- my butt felt pulled high, too, and my crack was wide open. It did settle back down. Did not have that issue in the front.
Two- I don't think anything can really be done about the incision placement now, but I could be wrong.
Three- I had no rolls in the beginning especially with the swelling. Still don't.
Try to relax and work on your recovery. Lots of people here are not happy in the beginning and then end up very happy. I hope you are one of them. Hang in there!!

At first, my butt was very high. I remember being about two weeks out, and trying on a pair of jeans for the first time. My waist had swollen to several inches bigger than before, and the bottom of my butt was flat as a pancake. I also had a big roll of back fat where I did not before right above my incision line. I cried. I had always been very curvy, and my body was an entirely different shape.
After a few weeks, things definitely started to change. It took about three months for my butt to drop, but its a really nicely shaped rear end now. The roll of back fat is almost gone, as it turned out to be mostly swelling that has taken six months to heal. Your body will change dramatically over the next six months, and its so hard, but all you can do is be patient. It sounds like you are doing all the right things to take care of your body!
I am so sorry you are feeling this way. I will be going to him for extended tummy tuck as I already paid 20% non refundable deposit. I honestly pray that this is just because u are still so early out..you are the first I heard to complain about him at all. I do appreciate your honesty but I also hope you are just jumping the gun so to speak because your actual results have not yet surfaced. Take it easy, heal, and try to relax your mind. PM or call me if you want to vent/talk.
