No wonder it hurts

I finally got up the nerve to watch a video online of an extended tummy tuck...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL0tYC-uwjc    no wonder I'm still hurting after 7 weeks from an extended tummy tuck.  The tightening of the muscles is the killer.  But after watching the video I understand why I'm so sore and beside we use our tummy muscles for almost everything.  I was feeling down wondering why I was having such a slow recovery from the discomfort but now I get it.  I'm just sayin' if I would have watched the video prior to surgery I don't think I would have had it done.        So WARNING don'****ch it if you are thinking about having an extended TT.

I could never have surgery withou****ching multiple videos of the procedure.  Aside from the gore, this team of medical professionals is giving this person the body I'm sure they worked hard to earn and all I see when I watch is people performing a miracle and think about how happy this person is going to be once the pain subsides and their new life starts!!!  I know it is a rough looking procedure but they are trained in what they do and this doctor did an amazing job!

I think everyone who is going to have this procedure, or any other procedure, should take advantage of the technological society we live in and watch videos of the procedure(s) they are going to have!  This way you literally know what they are doing to your body and what to expect for healing.

I'm sure you are a strong person OP and you will get through the pain and healing and be super happy with your new body and all the hard work you have put into your journey to health!

Some surgeons describe the procedure as more of a re-sculpting, and I think they're pretty close to the mark!  It's serious surgery.  I'm 3 months out and still amazed at how everything and every move comes back to the core - and, boy, do I feel it!

The description of the surgery was more than enough for me.  No need to look at videos.  Just didn't need those pictures in my head.

I had a LBL, BL, arms and sm thigh lift, with very little pain.  Muscle aches from the tightening, but never pain that wasn't taken care of the first couple of days.  By the time I went to the hotel at day 7, I was taking a few of my percocets because of the pain from the face lift and behind my ears.   Mostly, the tramadol kept me comfortable.

I tried watching a video on YouTube of a tummy tuck after I had had mine. OMG it grossed me out and I could not get past a f minutes. When they began lifting the apron and said that sometimes the surgeon removes the excess fat with his hands, that did it for me. Gross.
