Trying to figure out the logistics of this

Three of my coworkers and I all had WLS together.  We had sleeves so none of us were off work for more than a week.  That was doable for our employer.

Now we all want plastics.  Two of us can work from home once we get back (we have chosen a surgeon in Mexico) but two cannot work from home.  How long are you in the hospital, or perhaps I should ask, how long are you in Mexico after a tummy tuck and breast augmentation?  One person is getting breast work and a thigh lift instead and she cannot work from home.

I'm trying to figure out the logistics of this.  I am trying to figure out if we can all go at once or if we must stagger it.  I am thinking for two of us if we can lay around the house we can lay around and work on the computer.  But the gal with breast and thigh work, how long would she be out of work?  If the two of us that can work from home can get back to work quickly we should all four be able to go at once.  Is it possible to have a tummy tuck and breast work and be home in a week?  Is that even remotely possible?

In a perfect world, if you're recovery is absolutely perfect, you could be at home and able to telecommute in 7-10 days.  It comes down to how much pain you're in, whether you're still on painkillers or not, and whether you can focus or not.  I had a lower body lift and thought I'd be able to telecommute the week after.  Not so much.  Between being doped up, the hurting from the muscle tightening, and just the general discomfort of the drains and the incisions, it wasn't possible for me.  Other people have recovered quicker - but I still think 7 days is pushing it.

Ask your PS.  I know Dr Sauceda keeps his PS patients for generally 12 days in the clinic and then at the hotel, with daily visits from his RN and himself.  3 weeks may be pushing it to be back at work depending on how much work will be done.
