Panni and TT, day after
I had an anchor tummy tuck 20 days ago. :) I still have a lot of numbness. This can last for months, even years, before fully resolving Sometimes it doesn't resolve. I know when I had my c-sections, I was left with numbness in that area that never resolved. Most likely the numbness will eventually resolve. Back to my TT... the numbness is now resolving a bit becuase I can feel it tingle a little when I run my finger over my incisions. The end of the incision, at my hips, is where I still have the least feeling.
I get sharp "shocks" of pain that i am told is nerve repair. They are brief burning sensations, like a zap or jolt, and it sustains for only a few seconds before fading away. Normal part of healing. Annoying, and sometimes surprising, but normal. Sorry to hear you are having pains down your leg. This is likely normal too, but it sounds much more painful than what I have experienced. :)
I took one pain pill (norco) every 4-5 hours for the first week. Pain was very minimal. Right now, I only experience pain when I cough (ouch) or sneeze (OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!) What I feel now, with the exception of when I cough or sneeze, is just a very vauge mild discomfort. It's easy to ignore, and I don't take anything for it. I do still get tired more quickly. I go for 30 minute walks a few times a day and feel pretty tuckered out by the end of it. Otherwise, I'm mostly just sitting in a recliner with a laptop trying to get some work done. (or being here! LOL!
My belly button is having some issues healing. Some skin died due to poor circulation, something that isn't terribly uncommon. I'm doing "wound care" with it now and it is slowly healing. Not much pain associated with it, but a little bit of discomfort - mostly just when I change dressings or have my compression garment rubbing against it.
Congrats on your surgery. You'll get better every day, just stay ahead of your pain as much as you can with pain pills and push yourself to move - but most definitely don't over do it! Err on the side of caution when it comes to moving around! Don't forget to take stool softeners too. Constipation after a tt is NOT fun.

Hi All!! Well it's been a week and I feel so much better. My thigh still has nerve pain but not as bad. It feels like pins and needles all the time. Dr said it should get better as time goes on. I'm moving around much better and more often. I find jthe toughest time is in the morning when I wake up. I think it's just from being in one spot all night long. Thanks again for all your encouragement !
