Weird question- pants...

Sooo, Im having a LBL in 2 weeks. It just hit me today that this could kinda be a disaster. I have very large calves and thighs, always have. They went from fat and flabby to pure muscle, but never really got much smaller. Now, heres my question. Womens pants, are cut to size by the waist, but the LEGS are usually fitted to some degree and are cut in relation to the waist size. I currently wear an 8/10, but certain pants wont work for me because I cant get them up my legs, not even my calves! Im sure once I have the loose skin removed, Id be about a size 6 waist, but uh, my legs arent getting any smaller... Am I over thinking this? Is it an issue?
You may just have to keep trying on pants until you find a brand or cut that fits. I couldn't wear any jeans for almost 3 months, didn't want anything tight on my scar. I also wear the low riders. I didn't go down a size with my LBL, as my hips are too wide. One pair of shorts is a 6, maybe mis-marked. Mostly 8/9. I have big calves too, hard to get boots to fit over them. Good luck! Have you up'd your protein?

Boots Im OK with, its just certain pants. I guess Ill just have to brand shop a bit more. Im not anticipating losing a size, but my PS seems to think I will. Eh, Ill just be happy not to be floppy. I do also have shapely hips, Im a classic hourglass... Guess Ill have to wait and see!
And yes Ma'am! Ive been averaging 200g a day for the last 2 weeks and will keep that up until Im cleared postop :) Thanks for the reminder!
I have very large thighs and calves and did make it down to a 6 after my LBL & thigh lift. You just have to look for the cut of the pants that works for you. I will never be able to wear anything that has Skinny or Slim in the name. I always look for the cut that says it's generous in the thighs and usually go for a boot cut as that usually gives more room in the calf area. I do go for the low rise and for the first time in my life don't have the problem w/ a huge gap in the waist band of my pants (even when at my heaviest I had a much smaller waist)
I am 4 wks post TT and I also have big thighs and very large calves. I can't wear tall boots, even the wide calf boots. I was pretty sure I wouldn't go down a size because of my legs but I am very happy to still be a size 12 (after starting at a 32W), I know that my swelling will still go down a bit, but even though my same size fits, they fit so much better! I like being a bit curvy LOL. I wear Levi's and have since my WLS, they fit me best. But I bought a pair the other day not knowing they were the "skinny" type and they seriously would not go up over my calves! So, just find a brand & style that works for you and then you "work" them .
I have huge thighs and calves in relation to the rest of me, too. And I did not go down in size after my lbl. I had to find brands/styles that work for me. Sometimes I have to take them up in the waist, but for good fitting pants, it's worth it. You will figure something out.

Many people don't change sizes after the LBL but the way the pants fit does change. I did go down a size, and had to replace all of my pants due to they were too long in the rise and too big around.
I too have muscular calves/thighs (and a healthy amount of fat on them too!). I'm a solid size 8 pant now but I must buy the curvy cut. The "skinny" cut will not do. For jeans I like the Levi's at Walmart in the Curvy Skinny cut and the Curvy Boot cut.
OH, it's an issue alright!! But you can get around it by wearing a different cut (full leg) or start sewing!! My problem is I can't get any pants to stay UP. Since my LBL, I don't have a waist in the right place. I'm older and I know that's part of it, but I'm very frustrated.
ANYWAY! You will find a way around it and you deserve this!!! Congratulations on your weight loss and the next part of your journey!!
