Compression Garments

I had a tummy tuck, BL/BA, inner thigh lift about 3 weeks ago. Did everyone who has PS wear their compression garments 24/7? I'm having a difficult time wearing it through the night. I typically take it off before I go to bed and put it back on first thing in the morning, taking it off only to shower. Do you think that would be sufficient? Does anyone else have this problem?

Wore mine 24/7 for 5 weeks.  I was really more comfortable with it on than off.  From what I can tell, surgeons are all over the place with their opinions about compression garments.  Some insist on it, and others don't recommend them at all.  Call your surgeon and see how insistent he is about it, but at 3 weeks, I suspect you can start transitioning to something less confining.

My surgeon wants me to wear it for 3 months!!  I really don't  know if that's going to happen. Maybe I can tolerate it that long if I take it off at night but I'm kinda sick of it already. I feel more comfortable with it off. I've never liked girdles or any other compressive garments in the past, heck, I usually sleep without clothes, lol! so this 24/7 thing is a huge stretch. i just hope it will work out.

My surgeon gave me two www.designveronique.com garments, the full body ones.  I wore them 24/7 for 3 months and then during the day for another 3 months. I truly felt much better with them on then with them off.  I also believe they kept my incision nice and thin and didn't allow my thighs to swell too much and cause any open wounds.  Open wounds is a common problem with Thigh Lifts.

Are you wearing a full body garment?  They tend to be much more comfortable.  In fact, I purchased two more from www.marenagroup.com.
