Your Experience with Thigh Lift

I am 13 days out from a TT and arm lift.......now I am looking down at my inner thighs and thinking UGH!!!! What is it like to have a thigh lift? Is it more or less painful than a TT? How long is the recovery period? Do you have to wear compression garments on your thighs as well? How bad are the scars?

By the way, I am very happy so far with my TT and arm lift. Pain wise the arm lift was pretty much a piece of cake. The TT was much harder. My doc upped my pain medication the next day after my TT and it did make a difference in being able to handle it better. I had my arm drains for 8 days and my TT drains for 11 days.

I'm also seriously considering a neck lift. If anyone has any expereince with that I would love to hear about it.

Thanks so much,

Kathy

I am about 6 months out from thigh lift. My thighs were so bad that no matter what I had to do something about them. I had lost a lot of the fat on my legs but had some that would not go away. I have an I vision that goes from mid knee up to my groin and over towards the front. I had high volume lipo as well. Both procedures were done at the same time. I do not regret it for a second. The pain was manageable. I was on pain meds for two fulldays and then two nights to help me sleep. I had no issues with the skin being drawn too tight. I was able to move around fairly easily but a little slowly at first. No toiletting issues. My results are wonderful. I did have to wear compression garments for about six weeks full time then down to twelve hours a day. In the winter, they actually kept me warm and now they feel very comfortable so I continue to wear them on cool days.

Strange-I just typed a long post and it didn't post...
My understanding is that thighs are very risky (I am on appeal to have my inner thighs) and quite painful. Some surgeons do thighs in two stages-lipo and six months later the excess skin removal.
We have one area fixed in removing excess skin and enjoy the flatter and smaller look but at the same time we notice more the other jiggly parts of our bodies.
Smooth healing for you.

It is like painting a house, isn't it?? kiss

I dream of having a thigh lift, too, but am pretty much content with how I look "as-is".

Interesting response. The only real pain that I experienced was tenderness from the areas where lipo was done. I really had no pain from the incision, some discomfort perhaps, but no pain. Although I believe I have a high threshold of pain. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

HAH......yes it is like painting a house.....you really do notice everything else that isn't done. For those that have had the thigh lift.......do the scars fade pretty well??

Thanks,

Kathy

Yeah, painting a house.  I think I am done with my house painting.

Had LBL with thigh lift in August, no lipo. Had breast lift, augment and thigh lipo 2 weeks ago.

The LBL was definitely the best thing I did for myself. No more big belly.

The thighs have given me some issues. drains, drains, drains.  Seromas formed. Massage, massage, massage. Thanks to my husband for helping me with that.

Now that I've had the lipo, I had the compression garment and have been retaining a lot of fluid. Just upgraded to compression hose - yay, toes to waist - like I mean REAL panty hose. Although with elevating the legs and the compression it is making a big difference. Still a bit of pain and swelling but it has only been 2 weeks.

The girls are doing pretty good but the incision is tough due to its location. Right where the bra sits underneath.

I highly recommend the thigh lift - even with my issues, they look much better and my pants fit so much better.
