Does it hurt??
To be honest, I think it depends on the PS! When the nurse removed them from my brachioplasty it hurt BADLY. The ones from my original abdominoplasty were better, but still hurt.
When I went to Dr. Michaels for the abdominoplasty revision and full LBL, I was dreading having them removed and was curious if I could just live with them, LOL. I was dreading when the drainage got low enough they could be removed, bc I decided if the ones from my arms and upper abdomen hurt that badly I could only imagine what it would feel like to have 2 removed from my mons area, plust the ones in my thigh area. I told him that I was not responsible if I was yelling or for anything that I said....He took it out and I felt NOTHING!!!!! He asked if I wanted to scream now or later as he held it in his hand! :-) Truth be told I have since had an UBL with mastoplexy and felt nothing as those drains were removed either. I think it depends on the material and type of tube.
I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

Just got back from the doctor's office. I had a TT and arm lift. He took my arm lift drains out today. I didn't even feel a thing. My TT drains he said were not ready to come out yet. They are still giving out a darkish red color and he wants them to be the color of pink lemonade. He will check them again on Friday to see if they are ready to be pulled. I'll let you know then how that feels. I was worried too that it would be painful.....but, so far, so good. I hope I can't feel the TT ones either.
