How soon can you fly after having plastic surgery?

Thanks,

Nance

Hi Nance:

I flew six weeks after surgery with no problems.  It was about a 6 hour flight.  Just be sure to drink plenty of fluids and walk around or at least fidget a good bit to keep circulation in your legs.  You definitely do not want any blood clots.

Nance,

lots of people travel for surgery, so they fly home within a few days.

i flew for business about 4 weeks post op but did not lift luggage

I went to Mexico for my surgery and I flew home 14 and 17 days later (been there twice)

The surgeon gave me Lovenox injections to prevent blood clots.  Let your surgeon know if you plan on flying post op.
