What is the difference between a panni surgery & tummy tuck?

Panniculectomy only addresses the overhanging skin from the belly button down.  It doesn't include any excess skin above the belly button and it doesn't include abdominal muscle tightening.  Abdominoplasty addresses the entire abdomen and typically includes muscle tightening.  Insurance, to the extent it covers anything, usually only covers the panni removal.
