Dr Joseph Michaels?

Hello...I am supposed to have an extended tummy tuck and lipo with Dr Michaels but haven't scheduled yet.  I went to several consultations in MD and I felt the most comfortable with him. His personality and demeanor are intoxicating. Although none really recent, if u search him on this website, you can read his reviews. All if them are positive. He is having a cool sculpting open house in April. Good luck.

Dr. Michaels has done my LBL and my Upper body lift with mastoplexy.  I am very happy with my results and HIGHLY recommend Dr. Michaels.  He really does understand and wants to work with post bariatric patients.  He understand our different needs and I am VERY happy with my results. 

He is young and very talented.  As the previous poster stated he is very easy to talk to and he is a great listener.

I did have plastics with another surgeon and I can say although cheaper it is like comparing apples and oranges. My experience with Dr. Michaels has been top notch! 

Thanks for the replies!  I selected Dr Michaels after seeing 4 different surgeons and considering Dr. S in Mexico.  My first consult with Dr. Michaels was about a year ago, and I absolutely LOVED him, but the cost made me wince...  He was my first consult- so I decided to look at all my options and then make a selection- price aside.  So far, I think he and Leah are wonderful- both as professionals and personally, and I am excited to be one of their patients and success stories!  They are far and away a million times better, much easier to work with, much more patient focused and familiar with "our" concerns than any other Dr Ive consulted for plastics.  He was by far, the MOST caring, most personable, most understanding and most qualified to work with me (and other post bariatric patients).  I scheduled surgery (a LBL and BL/BA) with him for April 23rd and have my follow up/preop consult next week.  He is well worth the cost in my opinion at this point (and I hope I feel that way after too!).  

I was hoping to further cement my choice in him by posting here, and your replies are great!  With that said- Id still love to hear from others who may or may not have used him, and their experiences!

PricePriced is definitely a factor for me as well...I went to doctors who were less expensive and I was happy with them as well. I even found an all inclusive highly recommended surgeon who does different procedures for $5000 each with a discount on all subsequent procedures. My friend went to him and I liked her tummy tuck outcome. All that being said, I just have to save a little more because I still chose Dr. Michaels.  His fees are very reasonable, Sibley hospital is where all the expense comes from IMO. I think u will be happy. Keep us posted. Also they sometimes give buddy discounts. Private message me if you want to look into that. Tho I am not scheduled, I did put down my deposit.

Can I ask what other plastics doctors you saw? I am looking around right now and I saw him but havent called to schedule consult yet. I was interested in Dr. Cohen in Towson.

The other ones I saw are all in Frederick MD.  I would not recommend a single one of them.  Especially not for post bariatric work
