TT question

I am new to this board, had my VSG five months ago and am losing nicely. About 36 lbs from my goal weight of 120 lbs. A friend of mine went to see a plastic surgeon today (she wants her eyes done..) and asked him about post WLS reconstruction/surgery. He told her that he prefers to do them separately so that it is not one long surgery which is harder (maybe?) on the patient. He also said to definitely wait on the arms, thighs and boobs until after goal weight and stabilization but not the TT. He said that can be done already now. I also have a small umbilical hernia so that can be taken care of at the same time. I am kind of perplexed. I thought that everything should wait until goal weight and staying stable for a while. He said that the TT is something that can be done anytime and all the excess fat that I would be losing anyway, would be removed during the procedure. Sounds interesting..Just wondering if anyone had their TT done before reaching goal. I am not in a hurry by the way. I can wait if it is better.

Most surgeons give the opposite advice.  They want you at a stable weight for some period of time (6 months seems the favorite) and to be x amount of time out from WLS.  I'd wait until I was sure I was done with all or most of my weight loss before plastics.

That was my instinct as well but this guy is very experienced and has done so many.. I was thrown a little by his affirmation that a TT can be done anytime.

I have no idea why he would say that. I had my TT done and then lost 42 more pounds and had to have a revision. It made a huge difference.

That reasoning sounds crazy to me. From everything I've read a 10-15 pound change in weight can really screw things up. No way in hell I was messing up my torso. I could only afford to do it once.
