Glad to hear. BTW if your doctor hasn't already discussed with you the scar treatment, look into laser or Broadband Light (BBL) treatments, they help with the fading and softening of the scar.

Update....

So last night after a shower, my arm hurt worse then ever.  It started to spot blood in the discharge and I didn't sleep much due to the pain.  I called my surgeon's office again this morning and, even though my surgeon was in surgery all day he wanted to see me and managed to squeeze me in.  I was SO grateful for that!!

The hole in my arm is about the size of half a dime, according to my surgeon.  So not too terribly big, thankfully. Hopefully it won't get bigger. He actually ended up clipping a few stitches in my pit that were pulling and limiting my ability to raise my arm and causing pain.  That led to instant relief!  The skin, though, was very raw and sore.  He thought it looked like a (ready for this?) YEAST infection!  Ewww!!  Haha!  I've never had one before, so I'm surprised.  But, you see,  my pits do sweat a lot and he said that probably contributed to it.

So I am allowed out of my compression garments for a while to let them breath and I'm going to put some special anti-yeast cream on them.  So hopefully the hole will close and my skin will get better.  I was relieved that it is really just a "surface" infection, if that makes sense,  This honestly wasn't even on my radar as something that could be a complication!

I was happy that he told me I didn't't have to wear my neck compression much at all anymore, just as I wanted (I had neck lipo too).  And I was very surprised when he said it was OK to take breaks from the arm compression at this point.  But I'm happy to do that!  The rest of my incisions look good and like the are healing well, thank God.  I'm so glad for that.

So I just wanted to update.  I haven't seen people post here about yeast infections as a complication to an arm lift, so I wanted to share my experience.  Hopefully it'll clear up this weekend and my skin won't be so raw.  Plus as the pain subsides I should be able to get some much needed sleep.

Choose gratitude.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!   Galatians 5:22-23
