Tammy, So glad you are doing well! I have been off work since my panni removal 1/7/2013. I didn't expect to be off this long. Had lots of pain at first so I was on pain meds for almost two weeks. Really helped me sleep, but don't remember much of it! I rented an electric recliner and slept in that for 2-3 weeks. Had some constipation probs due to the narcotics, but went away after stopped taking them. Had two drains, but the first one was removed after a few days and the second one the next week. I still have swelling in the late afternoon and evening, but no real pain. I see the doc tomorrow morning. I hope I get released to go back to work!! BTW, I think your husband is awesome for taking off this week to help you out!!!

Well I go for my follow up from surgery in the morning.  I feel ok only have to take pains meds 1 or 2 times a day.  I woke up last night about 330 hurting.  But I feel better now.  I am going to get up here soon and do some walking.  If I have learned anything you need to walk as much as possible to get all the blood in the drains.  I think the faster those drains stop producing blood the quicker they come out.  And I want mine out yesterday.  LOL  Hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day.
