Arm Lift and Neck Lipo on Valentines Day - any last minute advice?

I'm so nervous and excited.  My first of two scheduled plastic surgeries is only a week away!    Any advice for my recovery or anything I should be doing this week to prepare?  I have all this nervous energy that I need to do something with!!

I have two young kids, but I do have childcare lined up to help.  I don't know how many days I'll really be needing to fully rest.  How soon do you think I'd be able to be up enough to fix meals and such for the kids and at least do quiet activities like playing legos and reading books together?

I need to ask my PS this, but I've read that you can't shower for quite a while after surgery.  Would it be wise to get some dry shampoo or those "wipes" to use in place of bathing for the period after my surgery?

I hope I'm doing the right thing.  I have this (totally normal, I know) fear that I'd die during surgery and leave my kids behind all because of my vanity.  I mean, this isn't a life or death operation, this is an "I hate my arms and neck" operation.  Totally selfish, really.   I keep trying to tell myself that this is a very safe operation as far as operations go.

I was able to shower the next day after all my body work.  But, you have follow your surgeon's instructions.

For you arms - put anything that you have to reach for, down lower.  No, over-reaching for your arms.  Don't carrylift too much.  You don't want to undo any of your doctors work.

For the neck, I wore a neck/head garment 24/7 for 10 days, then nightly for 6 mo.

Thank you - that's great advice to put everything I might need down low.  I long before you were able to reach your arms up?  I know everyone is different...

If I remember I was pretty careful for 6 weeks or so.
