Thought TT but recommended by surgeon LBL . .Question

I lost 107lbs and thought I only needed a TT but after seeing a surgeon and him grabbing handfuls of skin at my love handles and along my back and butt he recommended a LBL.  Did anyone think they only needed a TT but surgeon recommended LBL . . . did you go with TT or LBL?  Any regrets?

Just a hard topic for me to swallow and would love comments

I did a LBL and breast lift and augmentation last June.  The best decision I ever made.  When I went in was thinking tummy tuck but he explained and showed me how a lbl would help out with love handles and lower back.  Did not have a lot of skin but enough.  Also helped bring up my butt and top of legs.  Don't regret it for a minute.  Best of luck to you.

I went in for a regular TT which in turn ended up being a fleur de lis tt with muscle repair and hernia repair.  My doctor wanted to do the full LBL but because of the extras decide to split it up in two surgeries.  I am having the second half of the butt lift, lateral thigh lift and scar revision to TT done on April 18th.  I am looking forward to the finished product.  By the way, I had lost 150 lbs and was down to skin with very little fat deposit left.

I insisted on just a tt....I am headed back in November to finish the backside now that I have a perfectly flat tummy...and muffin top out the back. I didn't think the extra skin back there would bother me...well, I was wrong.

My opinion - do the lbl.  I had a TT and then two years later asked about lipo for my sides and the surgeon said it wasn't fat it was extra skin so last July I had a posterior lift.  I go back in May and he's going to do some work on my sides in the area where the two incisions meet up.  Do I wish I'd done a LBL - YES - might as well get it over with and only have to take off from work once rather than twice.

I think you should take his advice and have the lbl. You do not want a tight front and flabby back. It's kind of like painting a house. When one part is done and looks good the rest looks worse. I have no regrets with my lbl.
