I am also having a inner thigh lift 3 weeks from today and I am also curious as to what others have to say that have had it done.  I'm not nervous, I am excited, but I dread the pain.

I have been messaging mss...here is a response to her that might help!

Please ask away! I had my tummy, breasts and thighs all done at the same time. I was in my house the first 7 days, went to see the surgeon on day 7 and got around tenderly about two weeks. I had three weeks off of work and I think it was wise to stay out that long.

The *worst* part of the whole thing was the drains...specifically the drains in my thighs. You can see a drain scar in one picture. They HURT. It turns out they were working themselves out and that is probably why they hurt so much. I lost one at home within a few days of surgery and the other was working it's way out and was lost at 7 days post op. I went back at 13 days post op (for my regular follow up appointment) and had huge seromas in each inner thigh. I had to make the 2.5 hour trip every other day to get them drained and each time it was 300+ cc's of fluid. they didn't hurt but they made walking difficult.

I was never really sore. I am actually EXTREEMLY numb between my legs an on the back side of my legs as well. I never considered the numbness! I am not actually very numb where the incisions are but more toward the back of my leg. It now feels, often, like my butt is sitting on my leg. I believe that is from where surgeon cut near the fold of my bum. I was going to go back and have the "butt fold" redone but I have decided against it. For one, those incisions which are closest to my rear are the ONLY painful incisions I currently have. I *feel* every toiletseat. They pull. It isn't HORRID but it is noticeable.

For recovery I used a ton of maxi pads to pad the incisions and also I had to keep my left leg padded as the seromoa burst through the incision and would gush from time to time...I had a raised toilet seat and I don't know if that helped a ton or not. Pooping was by far very difficult with the thighs. I prayed alot on the toilet! I also had a female urinal which I would never go through recovery without! It was the only way to keep all the padding dry and be able to pee without totally undressing.

I am an avid runner....I was back to running in week 5. I am almost 12 weeks post op and back to doing all that I did before. I do work my incisions and stretch my legs often. I do think that has helped with the mobility of the inner thigh and keeping adhesions from happening.

Iam interested in the FB group but as I am on my iPhone and not proficient at copy-paste, is there a way you can post the link differently or tell me the name of the group or on FB invite me into it?

Thanks for your good wishes and I wish you the best as well.  I noticed in another one of your posts you said something about getting a lift for your toilet as someone posted that it was painful to sit on the throne (love it) the first two weeks after surgery.  I had a lower body lift on November 13th, and prior to the surgery, I purchased a raised toilet seat with handles from Amazon .  It was the best thing I ever did, because it helped ALOT and was easy to help me off and on especially in the beginning.  I just left it on because I knew I was have the inner thigh lift and would probably need it again.  I also purchased a female urinal as a couple of people have suggested it in this forum, as well as my PS office, because if you only have to pee, you don't need to sit down, you can just stand in front of the potty just like a guy (love that one too).  Anyway, I hope all goes well with your surgery, please post afterwards so we can all hear your experience. I will look for your FB page as well.

Had it done with the arms on 12-10-12.  I have had chest reduction and anchor tummy tuck also.  Out of all, the legs have been the longest to heal.  The only real pain is sitting on the Throne for the 1st 2 weeks.  Lots of pulling, not too bad after the 1st week for normal sitting but the toilet is the worse.  I suggest hovering for the 1st weeks, LOL.  After the 1st few days, the pain is more of skin that had been itched too much.  Good luck.
