Breast reduction/lift plus brachioplasty

Has anyone had both done at once? I'm scheduled for mine on Thursday, and I'm just wondering what kind of shirt would be best to wear after surgery. I was thinking maybe a loose, comfortable t-shirt might be good, but then I thought maybe a loose button-down shirt might be easier to get on and off.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I had my arms and breasts done separately, but for both a big loose button up the front shirt worked best for me.

I had both done at the same time and I just threw a zip up sports jacket over my garment or lounged around in my bath robe. I was able to put tshirts on after a couple days but generally avoided it.

I had mine done separately, 5 weeks apart. Shirts that button down the front will be easiest for the first few days.  I picked up a few men's flannel button down shirts at goodwill for a few bucks and loved having them after surgery.

Good Luck on Thursday!

Good Luck on Thursday Leslie!!! Best wishes for  a speedy recovery!!!

By the way what surgeon do you use? I was wondering if you use the ones from Barix or not. Dr. Lam will be doing mine.

Thanks, Kathy! Yes, I'm going to Barix. Dr. Skalicky did my TT last year, and he's doing this surgery, too. I can't wait!

You will look even more awesome!!!!!! angry

I will be getting the TT and I decided to go for the arms this time instead of breast reduction....on March 26th.

Thank you! I can't believe it's tomorrow -- I'm so excited!

That's so great that you have yours scheduled! I am thrilled with how my TT turned out, and they took such good care of me at Barix and also at the plastic surgeon's office. Plastics are a much harder recovery than the bypass was, but so worth it!

Definitely button front.

i bought some extra large shirts at Goodwill.

also, afterwards, long sleeved tshirts helped keep my bandages in place.  If they had seams on the arms, I wore them inside out.

best of luck!!!!!

Thanks for the help, everyone. I have some button-front shirts ready to go. Tomorrow is my surgery and I'm really hoping today passes quickly because I can't wait!
