Question about body lift results
It could be swelling. Did you use a surgeon experienced with bariatric patients? Did he/she recommend a fleur de lis? Some of us will still have a muffin top after a lbl. My surgeon was able to give me a flat tummy with just the lbl, but many surgeons are not as skilled as mine.

Yes he was referred to me by my bariatric surgeon and I felt comfortable with him. He knew that the middle section was a great concern of mine. He was going to pull everything down. I have not hear the term fleur de lis in regard to surgery. I had a belly and a giant roll between belly and boobs which was the main concern. It now seems that some of that roll is lower but still flabby. I guess we'll see what happens. It's only been 3 days.
My LBL was done in two parts as I had other things done. The second part of my LBL was lipo of the area between my breasts and my belly button. I had this done this in conjunction with my arm lift. My belly is flat but I do not know the results of the lipo to possibly be rid of the muffin top as it has been only 6 days since the lipo. I do not expect perfection - what I hope to look like....is normal. So far my arms look really good and my my belly looks good.
With regard to your 'flabbiness" I think that it is way too early to tell. My guess is that it is swelling. I think to see the end result of your operation, it will be about 3-6 months.
Good Luck, this is very exciting - I am about 6 weeks ahead of you.
Thanks! He did all the lipo at the same time. He removed 12 lbs of excess skin and fat, so the results are already impressive. I was just hoping for no more sagginess.
I'm not expecting perfection either. I'm actually planning to get pregnant in the future, so I'm not concerned with a little pregnancy pooch. Will just make me work hard and be cognizant of weight gain. I'm just glad to be rid of the hangy stuff!
This is the only thing I had done. Arms and thighs are still flabby but they don't bother me like the belly did. Maybe I'll do those someday in the future. But honestly, I feel good just knowing the belly is not there anymore. My boobs held up relatively well with the weight loss so I'm very thankful for that and don't think they need any work.
Good luck to you too!
Wow, you sound like your body did really well post weight loss. I am not sure of your age, but you sound like you have good elasticity in your skin. I was just a saggy mess at 48 yrs old. Boob hung low, belly was hanging low, arms that waved in the wind :-) But now I am on my way to being the "best" that I can be....and that's being normal...so I am happy and it sounds as if you are good to go too. I know, having that belly hanging is difficult and it is a complete miracle that it is gone. So happy for you, keep us posted on your results and good luck in the baby department. :-)
