Ab tightening surgery - do your abs feel weird???

If you've had your abs tightened or stitched back together after having them stretched out from fat, does it feel weird when you use your abs?
 

I had a full LBL 6 months ago.  When I do situps or ab exercises (sometimes, sitting up in bed), I get a weird feeling in my abs.  It's not painful at all, just "really odd" - I'm at a loss for how to describe it, except that it seems that I don't have much muscle power there compared to the rest of my body.

 

Anyone else observe this?

I feel like they are like numb or get "stuck" in the contraction. It doesn't hurt but is weird like you describe. They are pretty solid but I understand what you are saying about feeling weaker.

I'm only 4 weeks out, but yeah, there is a weird feeling....I automatically tighten my abs when I'm walking or running, or doing weights, and I notice a very strange feeling in the muscles.....plan on asking my doc about it next week....I don't feel weak, just weird.....

You are totally bursting my bubble that this feeling would go away. Im only 3 weeks out, but yeah - it's an odd sensation. Im still super swollen in my stomach area so i thought it was just swelling related, but if it lasts 6 + months - yikes!

I'm exactly a year out. They finally feel normal again!

My Dr. Told me a whole year before I will feel "normal" in all aspects. I was hoping he was telling me worst case but it sounds about right according to posts here!
