Scar "tape"

Looking for ways to reduce the look of my scar - and I remember reading on here about some kind of tape that is really helpful... However, I can not remember what it was called.
If someone could let me know - I would really appreciate it.

Thanks - Jamie

It's silicone tape.  You can get it from a PS office.  However, My doctor told me just to slather myself in Vit E and Cocoa Butter.  I use the brand Palmers, but my nurse who I hired to help me recover from my LBL surgery and is a part of huge PS practice here in Dallas recommends the silicone tape to help flatten out the scar.  Bottom line is that I do both :-)  Not sure if either or both help but I will keep up this practice.   Hope that it helps.

The tape I think you're referring to is called Mepitac. Just google it and you can find many vendors or you can get it on Amazon.com. It's about $25 for a 3 meter roll

You can get silicone pads at Walgreens or CVS and cut them into the size you need

tried tested and true...vaseline and tea tree oil.  My PS swears by it and the home care nurse was floored...she says that is the best remedy for scars but most surgeons do not recommend because it is a "natural antiseptic"....  been working like a charm on my lines...

My PS strongly recommends the silicone strips.

A friends used them on her brachioplasty and her breast augmentation and at 3 months her scars looks amazing!!

I am creating my own revolution and PAMdemonium reigns!
