I'm 3 1/2 weeks out from LBL and BL.  Healing is going well.  I had dissolvable sutures, so as far as I can tell they are gone.  I only have one small spot under the left breast that is still "wet" but it is trying to scab.  I'm back at the office today, and in Spanx and regular (non underwire) bras for day, and binder and post surgical bra at night.

The past two nights I've finally slept all night.  I'm in the bed (have been since week 2) but I still have to sleep propped up and I get achy from staying in one position.  I'm finding for the past two nights that I must be moving to my side a bit in the morning because I'm waking up that way.  I can't wait to sleep like a normal person again.

Swelling gets worse as the day goes on, and is even worse after exercising.  I have been given clearance to run after the 9th (1 month post surgery) and I'm already clear to power walk and use 10 lb weights which I've been doing with no issues.

I'm somewhat antsy and really can't wait to see the final results, which looks like it will be several months down the road.  I have not tried to put on real pants yet....still in yoga pants.

Today marks 6 weeks from my abdominoplasty. I'm still dealing with a gaping wound roughly 4 inches at this point due to fat necrosis. Thank goodness it's never been infected, nor does it really hurt. More of an annoyance having to change dressings and do the wound care. Other than that the rest of my incision closed up nicely and is all healed. My swelling on the sides is nearly gone completely I still swell in the center of my belly around where my wound is. I'm feeling really good. We took my daughter to Disneyland this last week for her 6th birthday...we were there for 3 full days and I felt great the whole time!
I am wearing jeans again, though I have to wear ones that pull up pretty high because it would hurt far too much to put on low rise pants and have that sitting on my open area. The wound itself doesn't hurt me because it's still rather numb in the general area but pressure on or near it is uncomfortable.
I hope to get this wound healed up soon, but I know it takes time....like I said it's about 4 x 2.... and roughly a half inch deep on the inside.

I love seeing a flat belly when I look in the mirror

I am 11 weeks out from lbl and thigh lift. I get tired and swollen at the end of the day but really turned the corner the past couple of weeks. The scars appear to healing well, I think. They are still mostly raised but very thin. They are purple with some ares fading almost to white. The thigh scars are still pretty scary.  Mostly the left leg because the lower third can be seen from the back. Hopefully with continuing daily massage they will fade nicely. It's amazing having a flat stomach again!

I'm having the girls and my arms done in the spring and hopefully have some scar revisions and my legs touched up. My son is getting married this summer and I can't wait to pick out a form fitting dress!  Isn't this an amazing journey?

I couldn't stop staring at my flat stomach today. I went to the store to try on jeans.....it was so crazy not to have so much as a muffin top of any sort even on skin tight jeans!
amazing. I am just sitting here on my couch in yoga pants and a tank top. Sitting.....no rolls....and I'm sitting.
loving it!!!

Isn't that weird?  I was sitting on the bench in the bathroom the other day after my shower....I looked down and didn't have the "puddle" of skin around me....I just sat and stared.....Plastic surgery really has revealed all the hard work of weight loss!

Once all my swelling goes down I know I'll need new pants, as the pants I wore before surgery are size 4's and a couple 6's and the 6's fall off when I walk so I've stopped wearing those all together and the 4's I'm constantly hiking back up because they are so loose. I don't mind the problem though

I'm happy to report that my wound is healing! So much so that today I graduated to the size small nonstick gauze bandage! It was measured....and it's 3x1 which is an entire inch smaller than last week! YAY YAY YAY

So excited to see progress!
