Progress-11 days out LBL and BL

For the past two nights I've slept all night in my bed!  I am sleeping so much better in the bed.  I'm only taking 2 pain pills at night now and Tylenol by day since 3 days after surgery.  I am walking a few miles each day-my doctor told me to walk a lot (slowly-not really getting heart rate up).

I have one drain left, and it will be pulled tomorrow.  I'm hoping he takes the rest of this brown tape off of my incisions....it is itching like crazy!  in the spots where the tape has broken, the incision looks great!  I do not have any open spots, and no weeping or leaking.

Of course I'm still very swollen-doctor said it would be about 3 months to start seeing results. I'm planning to go back to work Monday-working from home for the first week.

I realize my experience sounds too good to be true....and it really is.  I am a super healer.  Always have been.  Please don't look at me as "typical" because even I realize I'm a best case scenario. 

The most important thing you can do is listen to your doctor and your body--and allow the healing however long it takes.

Got that last drain out today! Doctor said doing great-keep it up! He also removed all the steri strips-itching is much better! Had some wine today yum!- while I watched my DD cook the Thanksgiving meal for the 1st time. Can't wait till tomorrow!
