Implants Vs without

Hello,

I was wondering if you ladies that have had breast work done can tell me a little about your experience, in particular if you have had implants, have you found that breast and nipple sensation is now muted or non existent? I have been saying no implants all along for myself, but I do sometimes wonder if I would be happier with my outcome with getting them, I am in school currently and one of my lectures recently was about advertising and women being portrayed as sexual objects for marketing purposes, one of the things that was touched on was breast implants and they mentioned that after a women gets implants her breasts lose the ability to be sensitive to pleasurable feelings (or at least change it) I also have a friend that had the a lift with no implants and she said it helped to increase the sensations in her breasts and nipples, so I am looking to hear from both sides!

Thanks Ladies!

I am just a week out with implants....so far I can feel everything. Actually my lower body is quite numb but not my breasts.

My BL/BA was virtually painless, with immediate and zero loss of sensation.  I was actually hoping for loss because they overly sensitive, but nope.  I noticed right away when the doc touched them to check on my incisions and they were immediately hard as a rock! lol

I have DDD and yes men stare at my chest and make comments.  At my age I welcome it.. I just see it as validation of my continued sexual marketability. :)  As far as objectification, I did a lot of research on this.  Check out this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-N9daqANcw

One thing that really struck me was how she explained that we are biologically programmed to feel uncomfortable being objectified because historically that could be dangerous for us.  Knowing why it made me feel uncomfortable helped me overcome the discomfort.  I just kind of tell myself, calm down, there's no danger here, and it's a compliment, and then I enjoy the attention.

Also as sad as it is, our society is superficial and the better you look, the more doors open for you.  I used to hate superficiality and made no effort, but now I go out of my way to look my best and spend lots of money on superficial things.  This is because I have seen firsthand the advantage I have had open up to me as my appearance transformed.

It seems worth it to invest in it as it can effect my occupation and the doors that open for me, the help I receive, and many other things. A few negative things I noticed is that women seem to see more as a rival now and behave accordingly, and some men say they find me more intimidating and unapproachable.    Also of course you can attract more superficial people. but it's just more options and you can always figure out who those people are and weed them out.

I just had a lift a week ago. One nipple full feeling the other not so much. They are still recovering and I fully expect the sensation to come back. I opted out of implants as the idea of something foreign was too much. And the stats that 60% of people with implants will not make 10 years without additional surgery. They have a 10 year shelf life. Most PS will not come right out and tell you that but do your research. I just wanted mine to stop pointing at the ground

I had a lift June 2011. No loss of sensation. I did not get implants, but still hope to someday. My surgeon likes to do them in 2 stages for better results (lift, then implants 3-6 months later). Now I just need to save up for stage 2. In a bra, I look good, but without I look flat on top. Still happy with my lift.

I had implants with no lift so they didnt do anything to my nipples.  All feels and looks great.  So very happy.

I had a breast lift with no implants June 11th 2012.  No loss of sensation and I love my new breasts.  Went from a slightly overflowing 38 D to a very comfortable 36 D.  My doctor also does the lift and implants in two stages.

Best wishes for a successful surgery in whatever you dedide.
