5 days post op LBL and BL

I seem to be holding true to my normal status as a quick healer.  Yesterday I was able to shower standing up and I walked a few laps around our cul-de-sac.  It felt great to get outside.  I'm walking upright, and am only taking pain meds at night.  Tylenol by day.  I'm doing a few things around the house, but of course, not much.  Trying to drink plenty and rest.  My drains are not getting too much "juice" in them, and the doctor said he may be able to pull a couple Friday.

I haven't had any real pain, mainly the muscles in my stomach.  The best thing I've had is the potty seat lifter!  I've slept on the sofa, the recliner did not work for me.  Can't do the bed yet.

All in all, not nearly as bad as I thought it might be!

My first day in real clothes!

You look wonderful and I'm jealous! I'm 16 days post op and still have my 4 drains! My stitches come out tomorrow, maybe 1 or 2 drains....??? Here's hoping. All in all I'd rather they stay in so I dont swell up like a goodyear mini-blimp!

Prayers for continued great healing!

PS: love the sassy-ness in the picture!

I am glad you are feeling well!!! I lost all my drains yesterday...it was kind of like leaving the ball and chain! Despite neumerous horror stories they didn't hurt at all coming out.
