Swelling 6 weeks post LBL???
I am thrilled with my results post op but just can't wait to feel normal again.? How long did it take you to fill normal again after your lower body lift. I had the circumferential lower body lift. I also had a lot of liposuction done. My surgery was about 7.5 hours long. The doctor says it's perfectly normal to have swelling for the first 3 months. I guess I was just hoping that I was the exception to the rule or something. I can wear a pair of loose yoga pants and if i'm on my feet at all during the day by the end of the day I have a huge ring around my lower stomach where the elastic was..
I guess I am hear asking anyone else if they experienced the same thing and did you find anything that would reduce the swelling?

I hope someone farther out answers you too. I am 41/2 weeks out from lbl and thigh lift. What my doc told me I would notice an increase in swelling when I get back to exercising and regular activity. I imagine the more physical the activity the more the swelling. You being on your feet for long periods of time would seem to qualify. Increasing you fluid intake-preferably water, and watching your sodium intake will help to lessen the swelling. Hope this helps
Thanks for the response, are you still numb in ur thighs and butt? I'm numb from right above my belly button till right below my incision. My pain was really bad though the first 2 Weeks. I went through 60 percocets... did you feel dizzy and faint if you stood for more than 3 mins? I went through that for about 3 Weeks I'm so glad that part is over with
I am numb from above my belly button to right below the incision, within a couple of inches of all the remaining incisions and my outer thigh. Can feel my butt fine. I think the first two weeks were miserable. After that I slowly felt better every day but still needed some pain, 1-2 a day until 2 days ago. When I was able to stop taking them.
As far as feeling faint, yes I have had days but then I run a pretty low blood pressure and had a lot of trouble post-op with it being too low 60/30. They ended up giving me 2 units of blood and kept me a second night.
I still have some open areas where the drains were I have ti dress but they are getting better every day. Even though it has been a difficult process, I am very happy I had the means to do it and can't believe what I see in the mirror now,

After my LBL I was in surgical compression garments for six weeks 24/7. I did not experience swelling, at least none that I noticed. Are you wearing compression? At six geeks I switched to a tight flexee camisole that covered my LBL line, along with flexee Capri pants. They worked really well.

I am 5 mo out. I still have numbness, but I think sometimes that is forever. I never really had much swelling. I think lipo causes a lot of swelling, and I had no lipo. Also being on your feet all day will make you swell more, but it will end eventually. I wore a binder for about 4 weeks because it was comfortable, my doctor said I didn't have to wear it at all if I didn't want to.
I wear my compression garments all the time 24/7 only take them off to take shower. I hardly eat anything with salt. I eat all clean and natural so my diet is 100% where it should be. I just can't wait for my swelling to go down I did get on the treadmill the other day and all I did was a fast walk and oil hurt every where especially right above my butt. How long before you guys could exercise and feel normal doing it? I was a runner before hand and now I feel like I will never be back there again?
I had mine done on 10/7 and the dr told me drink as much pineapple juice as I can cause there is something that keeps swelling down... I too have been eating pain killers like a snack cause I the pain but I also did a arm lift and breast lift with implants on 10/11 5 days later... But I am feeling a lot better now and energy coming back
