Approved for panni!!!!!!!
I am so excited. I finally got the call. After being denied twice I have finally been approved for my panni. I can't wait to be able to wash my private's without having to lift the pannus out of the way first, lol. Among other things.... I can't wait to run without it slapping my thighs, not have rashes every time I go to the gym, not have to use greasy creams or powders to control the rashes and smells. Now just if all the other stresses in my life would cooperate....
It is administered through CBA/Beechstreet. My husband is a journayman lineman for an electrical coop so the actual insurance is through National Rural Electric Coop Association, but, like I said it is administered through CBA (Cooperative Benefits Association). They sent it to outside medical review and required the normal things. Six months of dr visits to confirm rashes that are resistant to treatment, with confirmation by a dermatologist. Pics of rashes and pannus that hangs to or past pubus, six months at a stable weight and at least a year out from surgery. My biggest problem was getting them to tell me exactly what they needed. They kept telling me medically necessary, but not what they needed to prove the medical necessity.
