SURGERY 2 IN 5 DAYS!!!!

So my thighplasty is in 5 days, also I will be getting revisions to my 360 and arms with from our last year surgery along with Lipo to the upper arm and flanks.

I was SUPPOSE to be getting a breast lift during this surgery but last week my surgeon decided to NOT do the breast lift with the thighs. he apologized for saying that's how we were going to do it and said that at the time he must have been having a superman moment, but he says that my thighs will take a good 4 hours and that the re
visions could be 2. We were originally scheduled for 8 hours but he is saying that a good breast lift requires more than a couple hours and due to surgeon fatigue from working on so many areas in the same block of time he wants to do the breasts later. This surgery was reduced to 6 hours. Am I mad that there is a change of plans this late into the game , NO, maybe frustrated but I very much like his honesty and this is not up to me.

I will say that I feel like the poster child for how not to screw up your body, it's amazing how much it has taken physically, mentally and financially to get my body looking some what normal again.. Does anyone else have these feelings?

I am glad you are only frustrated and appreciate PS honesty.
I hope it won't cost a lot more money when he does you the breast lift.
And I am so happy you are getting these procedures done for you!

Thanks. I have spent the day preparing lot's of easy freezer meals for my husband and just ordered my medical lift chair to be delivered on Monday. How are you doing? I have been reading your post but have not had a chance to respond.

Boobs are slowly healing.
My PS did not do side boob blubber and it really bothers me.
I was at a 2nd PS consult this week at another hospital in hopes of further Plastics. She wants me to do many blood tests and a lymphosyntography to check lymph nodes. If all is fine, she will consider operating on me. I still have medical review via my HMO but then is in January. I am hoping that all test results after scheduling and doing and reviewing will be enough time for this female PS by mid-December.
Everything is up in the air but that is okay.

And the side boobage should have been dealt with during your lift, right. Well issues and all at least you are staying on top of getting all this straightened up. You have for sure been your own advocate.
I have followed you since my last surgery and you have gone through so much. Overall are you happy with your choice to have plastics, is there anything you would have done differently?

Side blubber was supposed to have been done with Lift but as I was being marked,PS decided due to past Wound Healing issues to not do sides at that time and his plan was to do it six months later--until my incision opened and now he doesn't to operate on me again. My HbA1C this week was 3.8; not that ever even had Diabetes!
Which is why I went for a consult with this female PS that her specialty is Body Contouring After Weight-Loss.
Hmm-differently-maybe gone the female PS to begin with... But I don't regret what I've had done. Every surgery I've had done has had something weird. When i had my C-section in '85, I was in fir 12 days when other ladies were only in for six.

Congrats on going to get your thighs done! I am going for my first 2 consults in a couple of weeks! I really want a total body lift, but I am very interested in the thighs, I carried most of my weight in my thighs and butt (still do!) and I know that I will evenually have to have them taken care of, I have heard that thighs are the most difficult area to have worked on? I am a little intemidated by that, I know everybody is different and everyone has a different experience though, but I cant see going on with all this lose hanging wrinkly inner thigh fat/skin the rest of my life either!  In what order have you had your surgeries done? And I noticed that your first surgery was at 203lb's (I am at 204 right now) how much weight have you lost thus far with your reconstructive suregeries and how much more do you anticipate losing with your thigh lift? I know that the actual weight removed does not always show up on the scale for some time due to swelling, but I am just wanting to be realistic as to what to expect weight loss and even clothing size wise if you dont mind! Thanks!
p.s. I started at 322 lb's wearing a size 26/28 pants and a 3x shirt now I am 204 lb's wearing a 14/16 pants and a M/L shirt.

My surgery was at 203 and albeit 16 pounds was removed and I have had a year inbetween surgeries I am 195. Honestly it's just realistic in my world. I am 5'10 and love to eat. The way I see it I am half the woman I use to be too. I'm 40 and have no interest in chasing the last few pounds just to see a smaller nunber on  my scale. I am a lapbander that had all my saline removed in March so I am winging it. Maybe with saline I could have gotten lower but I am doing pretty good on my own. Sure i could have gotten to any weight but I'm just not willing to go to drastic measures to achieve it.  Growing up obese I use to say that my dream size was 14, I accomplished my dream.

Don't let a chart or doctor dictate what you should weigh, it's a personal decision and one that only you can answer.

Oh, and after that surgery 10 pounds of the 16 reflected on my scale 2 months after surgery.
