Need support, advice, pics before and after.....PLEASE!
Today is my 4-year surgiversary!...............In 2011, I had a medically necessary full abdomnioplasty and this year in May, I had a breast reduction.
In the next few months, I will be having a medically necessary thighplasty for the same reasons as the previous two reconsructive surgeries done for pain controll and quality of life above vanity........pain, rashes, heavy hanging loose skin.
My recovery from the first two surgeries went well with no problems.....My Dr. told me that with the thighplasty there is excision of some of thee lymphatic tissue and 20-30% chance of 6-12 months of lower edema in the ankles and legs, along with the long scar.
what has your experience been.....his nurse discretely told me not to do it....pray about it first and that alot of patients regret the decision to have it.
any opinions, advice, pics?
thanks!

Not going to lie, the thighs were the most painful of all the PS I've had. I think most people will agree w/ that who've had them done. That being said I was back to normal 3 weeks out. The first week to 2 weeks were the worst. You have a high chance of the incisions opening at the junction of your thighs and groin where all the incisions come together. It took mine a couple of months to completely close which could potentially lead to problems (I had none). The swelling was pretty bad and continued for 6 months I'd say even in my lower legs. However I don't regret doing it at all even though I'm not completely happy w/ the outcome. I'd even consider having it done again if it could help the look of them.

What she said is so true, would I do it again YES, my incisions split its cause of where they are and it took months to close I am diabeti****pt it clean n dry so I had no infection. The other surgeries r a piece of cake compar Ed to the thighs but I do love them , I have pics on my site. If u wat it bad enough like I did u just deal with it and take it easy the first week is the wrist then it gets better every day, u just lie down withur legs straight DO NOT OPEN THEM IN A FROG position cause it pulls on ur upper inner groin incisions
Good luck
