Day one of thigh lift

I am amazed. I had a full (vertical scar to the knee) thigh lift today around 10 am. I was home (walked up 3 flights) by 5 pm. I experienced some rigors at the surgery center so i stayed a little longer than i would have. My night was sleeping on and off, walking around my condo, and catching up on work email. I'm taking one lortab every 5-6 hours to control the pain. I'm absolutely amazed though. I feel as good as I did on day 4 or 5 of my LBL - yay!

The worst part is getting in and out of bed. I have 2 drains and the one on my right leg is producing white a bit of fluid. If this is the worst of it though, I can't complain.

This is so reassuring to read.  I have my thigh lift tomorrow morning.  Have been dreading so much because all I ever read is that it is the worst of all the surgeries.  But you have made me feel so much better.  I can't wait to get rid of these elephant legs!

Good luck to you!

Advice: elevate legs and ice packs. On Tuesday (6 days) after surgery, I was out of the house all day - about 10 hours. I paid for it. My legs were swollen. Other than Tuesday, I've been keeping my legs elevated and rotate ice packs on my knees and groin area. I have a dog so I'm up and down 3 flights of stairs several times a day without any problems.

Good luck. I'm sure you will do great!
