Oooooooo!! So happy for you, girlfriend!! I'm dying to have more work done but am trying to be financially responsible...lol. I'm making myself wait at least 2 years.

I had to do it for my mental stability. No way I could have lived with the skin. My boyfriend did not want me to have anything done. He was worried about me having surgery plus he loved me "as is". After my recovery he admitted it was the right decision for me. He could see how much better I was doing emotionally.

I started with my arms because they are cheap and you can't hide arms here in the south. Then I have a little bit of good fortune thrust upon me plus a lot of hard work on my part and the rest is history.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

I went to Dr Sauceda too.  I got the works done for under 20k.  What I will tell you is that I felt good about my body.  I was in size 9 jeans, and large tops.  Watering my lawn, my arms were swinging, my panni would slap if I was undressed and running down the hall or... With clothes ok, w/o not so good.  Plus, I had a big muffin top that I absolutely hated.

Now, after PS, I really feel like a normal, non-previously MO person.  Oh, I still remember what I looked like before, but now my self-esteem and self-image are over the top.  I'm out dancing and enjoying myself.

I was in a relationship last summer and felt good about the girls or my new Saucedas, being up and perky like they were early in my 20s, my belly was flat, arms didn't swing back and forth, plus the turkey neck was gone.   I have scars, but they are so much better than the hanging skin.

I was 58 when I had my LBL, BL, arms, sm thigh lift and full neck & face lift.  I am going back for an upper body lift in Jan.

We have a group here on OH if you want to come over and see what others say.  Click on Dr Sauceda in my siggy line.

I loved your line about feeling like a non-priviously MO person. Me, too!! I love just blending into society.

I agree...Dr. Sauceda in Mexico.  If I would have known at the beginning of AFTER my weightloss HOW many procedures I would have done, I would have gone to him in a heartbeat.  Do it all at once  and get it over with.  You can't beat the cost or skill (from all I've read about him over the years).  You might have a problem finding a babysitter for your child for 10-14 days though.  Good luck in making your decision.

Hi Everyone,

This is the original poster, Patricia E. here. I had to create a new login because I was having trouble (again) with my original account. I wanted to thank EVERYONE for their great feedback!!

(I realize that I forgot to give my age... I'm 42 now - I had the lap RNY when I was 32.) :)

It had never occurred to me to go to Mexico for my PS. I've emailed Dr. Saucedas's office for information. I just LOVE the idea of having everything done at once, and with an all-inclusive cost. As I said, I want my tummy done, breast lift, and arms... but I'm also looking into the thighs and even a neck lift at the same time (if the price is right). I love what was posted too about 'passing' as someone who was never morbidly obese!

I would be using up almost all of my savings for this, but I know that I will never feel comfortable in my body unless I have this final step in my weight loss journey performed. And I thank God that I have the money to begin with, and that I wouldn't have to go into debt to do it.
Part of me has thought that worrying about my loose skin is superficial... but then I realized that my body is actually MORE important than any material things I could acquire with the same amount of money. Lots of people spend more on a car, or on a wedding, or on a trip... but my body will be with me forever, and it's worth investing in. I have a good, permanent job with the federal government here in Canada and the only debt I have is my car loan. If I step up on my savings plan, I can get back on track with my savings in a few years.

Luckily, my mom and my ex-husband will take care of my daughter (who's ten). I don't know how soon Dr. Saucedas could see me, but I can take time off at Christmas or next spring.

Hugs to all!

Patricia

Patricia, if you emailed his office off his website, it might take longer.  PM me and I can give you his email address.  He answers all of his emails personally and if he's busy with surgeries sometimes it takes a few days.   Hang tight!  He's the best!  I have trusted him with all of my reconstructive procedures and I have no regrets!

Original poster here again (Trish). Thank you to EVERYONE on here!

I have contacted Dr. Sauceda and he's already gotten back to me with a price! I just had to send him photos (lol - it sure was funny/weird asking my 10 year-old daughter snap those for me out of the blue on a Sunday afternoon) to get the estimate.

I'm going to have everything done at once: Abdominoplasty, mastopexy, brachioplasty, thigh lift, upper body lift, and a slight neck lift for well under $20K! I can afford this!

Now I just have to book the date and schedule the time off work... I literally have tears of joy in my eyes as I type this!!

Big hugs to each and every one of you who's helped me on here. I remember what a great support this site was before I had the surgery, and I'm so pleased to see it still is helping us on our journeys.

Love,

Trish
