Has this happened to anyone else ?
I have had trouble healing in that one spot that most anchor cut people have....where the T meets. I thought I would be extra careful, this wouldn't happen to me...blah blah blah. Well mine started from the beginning. I was gross, turned into a triangle of necrotic tissue. My husband (the greatest man alive) has been applying creams, and tending to my every need for almost 4 weeks.
Weds at my follow up appointment I was excited to lose my drains, but not so excited that my black triangle had to be cleaned up. It was cool to watch the dr dig in there and pull out all the dead tissue (couldn't feel a thing). We were insturcted to pack the area 2 times a day. This all seemed like an easy tas****il my husband took off the dressing to change it and I looked at this giant hole in my body. It's so gross. I feel so bad that my husband is having to look at this and pack it twice a day. Is he ever going to find me attractive again? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? How long did it take to heal? This happened to me too with my c-section but honestly can't remember how long it took. :(
To me I didn't just have this awesome surgery but I truly learned what an amazing husband I have, what awesome friends I have, and that I am blessed. I think this experience may be the best thing that happened to my marriage, funny cause I had surgery on my 12 year anniversary. It's easy for people to say they care about you but my husband has showed me without a doubt he is with me to the end.
When I looked down in saw my leg guts it was disgusting but in the end the scar looks ugly but my thighs are BEAUTIFUL , PS wanted to fix the scar but its in a spot where onl my husband and the GYN will see it, LOL

You look back on my postings to see my struggles.
You are not alone! Some of us just do not heal well or quickly. I do not nor did I ever smoke nor do I have diabetes.

Follow me on Twitter @fatleave I've had a FTT with extended incision and a second surgery due to complications (just as invasive) I documented almost daily both times with lots of pictures and tips/suggestions. scroll to the very beginning of my posts and read onwards. Even with my complications I would do it again in a heart beat.
