Medial Thigh Lift - fluid - how long?

So, I am 4 1/2 weeks post op from LBL and thigh lift.  All is well except for fluid in my right thigh.  Drain is still in - bulb popped off. Going a little crazy hoping that the fluid will resolve soon.

Just curious how long you had fluid in your thighs after thigh lift.  I expect to be taking a very long drive (2000+ miles) in 2 weeks and am hoping to be able to make the trip.

My PS said thigh lifts have a big rate of edema. What did you do with your bulb, did you stick it back on. I know drains are a pain, but it's better than the alternative. Good luck, hope it gets better soon.

 I have the bulb. Have put it back on only to have it pop back off. I have been able to extract fluid by massaging the thigh. I see PS today. Just wondering how long some people have had fluid. Tomorrow is 5 weeks post op.
