Extending leave time
My Hr department is asking for a statement from my physician for continued medical leave. I really have no medical reason. I am just still sore, tired and have a hard time bending down. I work 12 hour shifts. Anyone have any ideas?

That IS a medical reason. If you can't perform your job because of having surgery, then it is a medical reason.
Most surgeons don't have a problem giving you as much time off as you need. Mine asked me how long I wanted off. You need to rest - it was MAJOR surgery. How long ago did you have it?
I think for my TT I took 4 weeks off. My BL/BA I took off 3.
Ok - I see it now. You've been off for about 5 weeks. You DID have a lot of work done... If I had that much, I'd have asked for 8 weeks off...
