Producing lots of fluid - no drains

I had my LBL and thigh lift on 8/29. Came out of surgery 8 hours later and 12 pounds lighter

I had 4 drains, each groin and each hip, none in thighs.  3 produced very little and were removed on my 1st post op appt. DR wanted to wait for the 4th as it was producing ALOT. I had my ab binder off to wa**** lied down and fell asleep. When I got up to get the binder I went for my drain to see it had come out. DR said I must be a sound sleeper as it had been in for almost 2 weeks. He has been aspirating the fluid and is getting 750-900 ml each time (Tuesdays and Fridays). He ordered me a midcalf compression garment which I got yesterday. He said if this doesn't work, I will have to have drains put in in my thighs and maybe reinsert the right hip.

I am travelling on 10/14 and am concerned that I will still have drains. How long does the body continue to produce this amount of fluid? Any comments are greatly appreciated.

My doctors explanation to me (because I kept swelling hence, fluid production)...that some people are "swellers" and struggle more with this. Wish I had some advice for ya! I was swollen for almost 4 months and sometimes I still feel it.
