Hernia Repair and Insurance Question

hello-

I have a small abdominal hernia and have lost over 100+ pounds.  Question is I have BCBS ( I know policy coverage ranges).  I have heard of insurance covering part of a panni or abdominalplasty if it is done in conjunction with a hernia repair? Have any of you been successful in having this done together? Did insurance cover any? all? part of the surgery and fees?

thanks

BC/BS of Iowa covered TT with excess skin removal with the hernia repair.   I paid $2000 for muscle tightening

It was well worth it.

I have BCBS I however, do not have a hernia, but was approved on my first attempt at getting a tummy tuck with muscle tightening/belly button repositioning. My plastic surgeon submitted all the photos/paperwork to the insurance company. I heard back from the plastic surgeons office within 2 weeks and two days after they called to tell me I was approved I received the letter of approval with the codes that were to be performed during surgery. My surgery is in 4 weeks :)
