Pre op and Post op experience

I would love to have a few suggestions about preparing for surgery and what to expect the first week or two post op.
I am getting my third consult and having a second meeting with the second surgeon tomorrow and then I will make my final decision over the weekend.
I plan to have an upper thigh lift, tummy tuck and breast lift all in one surgery.
I have been told to expect a 90 day recovery and no lifting, I live on a horse farm so this is going to be a one time challenge! Which is why I can not take multiple times off for seperate surgeries.
I have been told by two people who have had similar surgeries that the pain is hell, lol.
Oh yippee!
A little about me-I exercise regularly, run about 20-25 miles a week, play tennis, swim and of course lift a lot cause of the horses!
I have experienced a lot of physical pain in my life and I am pretty tough. My GB surgery recovery was a walk in the park, virtually no physical pain-tons of other issues and complications but the pain was not registerable.
Any suggestions, thoughts, shared experiences ...thoughts on the time to return to running, etc, would be helpful and appreciated!
I love these forums cause everyone has something to contribute! The internet helped me 200% post op GB and helped me learn how to live post op safely and in a healthy way!

Good luck with your surgeries. I had LBL and thigh lift on 8/29. Little pain from LBL, much more with thighs. I slept on a recliner with a foam pad for the first 1 1/2 weeks (electric remote). It was the best position to sleep in.

Although I am only 2 weeks out, I am slowly getting back to my desk job. No lifting for some time to come. I would be prepared for a minimum 4 weeks of no lifting. Of course, I did not do breasts at the same time either. I expect to be taking a LONG (2000+ mile) drive in mid October and the doctor says I will be ready for that.

The biggest thing you need to think about with lifting is that your skin will be separated from your fascia and needs the proper time to heal back together. Without allowing sufficient time, you will undo all the good your surgeon is doing.

I sympathize with your challenge of the horse farm. If you do not have help, I would suggest hiring someone to do your lifting for a few months.

Thanks Penny.
I am definitely hiring help for the farm since everything requires lifting! I figure about three months before I return to form there.
The one Dr, I met with today did not want to do a Tummy tuck and thigh lift at the same surgery for blood flow purposes yet I would think the surgery you had done-thigh and lower body lift would require similar scars and blood flow issues yet no other surgeon has even mentioned that as a concern and I realize from this and other GB forums that multiple procedures seem to be the norm.
I would rather one big surgery than two pretty big ones, lol...
Did your surgeon mention this as a concern when you had your procedures done? I am just trying to gather a general consensus, I guess.
