Approved by insurance for LBL

It took 4 months but BCBS-IL approved me.  It was a long and frustrating battle but they are covering me at 100%!  I think I may have been a squeaky wheel.  The dr and I both sent pics in 4 times that were 'lost' or never received even though they had USPS delivery confirmation ... So I finally took pics again and sent overnight via fed ex and viola 48 hrs later approved!  I do not have a date yet bc docs office was closed later part of last week due to DNC and President and family were staying near his office so roads were closed.   I am so nervous and excited.
Bottom line is don't give up with your insurance ask a lot of questions from their customer advocates and get names.

Good luck everyone and have a great week!

Congrats!! I have BCBS Anthem and I am hoping I can get a LBL or TT covered. I have a lot of time as I'm only 5 months out and have 30 more pounds to lose.

That's awesome! I start my new job this month and their insurance is through BCBS. I understand they all run differently, but nice to know there is hope out there when I get to goal!!! Congrats!!

I had a PM asking me why I am having plastics so far away from goal.  I have very bad rashes underneath my skin.  The docs feel my body has stalled bc. Y skin isn't healing and all my healing energy is going to the rashes.  It is also extremely painful to exercise b/c of the rashes.  Just wanted to share.

I also have a date!  November 8, 2012 :)
Thanks everyone!

I had my first TT before I reached my final goal, due to chronic back pain.  I knew at that time, that my risk of having complications was much higher because my BMI was greater than 35.  I also knew that if I wanted a beautiful result, I would need a revision once I got to goal.  Sometimes, we have to do it for reasons other than aesthetics.  Most do not understand that, but I do.  As long as you understand that you have to really be careful with your incisions post op and really rest to avoid, openings and infections, I think you will be fine.  My surgeon is excellent.  I had no complications with my TT.
