Did you rent a liftchair for any of your procedures?

If you did rent a liftchair, what kind of procedure did you have?
Did you really appreciate the chair and feel it was worth it?
I'm having an extended tummy tuck 9/18 and remember with my lower body lift I had trouble getting out of the recliner.  But only for maybe 5 days.  What do you think?  Should I put my order in for one?
Thanks

I was fortunate to have one. I used it for 2.5 wks after upper eye/face/ neck surgery and 3 days after bl/ba/brachioplasty. I definitely recommend.

I am a bit puzzled about you having. TT after having a lbl. I thought the lbl took care of that area. I need a lbl and thighs.

I'm having LBL in November and it is supposed to fix front and back.........I BETTER NOT NEED A TT AFTER GOING THROUGH THAT!!!!!

I need to find a place in Birmingham that rents the chairs....I think I'm gonna get one for the first 2 weeks.

Sorry, my error on the lbl.  I've had horizontal- vertical- medial thigh lift ... which along with removing
my leg's wrinkles & tightening the skin,  also helped lift my butt considerably & gave me great hip curvature.
The only store I could find locally that rents liftchairs is by the month only; don't know if I'll be able to work something out with them or not.  $200 for the month, plus $50 for delivery, set up and pickup.

I have a massaging recliner which has a remote control to lift the legs and recline the back. This has been so helpful (not using the massage portion).

I am very pleased to have this. Have used it many days and nights while recovering, helps me be more independent.

Try to be a sindependent as you can. You will move forward quicker.

I had a tummy tuck in March.
I rented a chair for a month and then extended it for another 2 weeks.

My incision was hip to hip and in the chair it was easy to get comfy.

My bed is pretty high and getting up and down was a pain.  After the chair, I used a little stool to step up to the bed for a few weeks.

The rented chair was absolutely worth it.

Thank you all for your comments.  I think I'll reserve my chair tomorrow and have it delivered next week so I can get used to operating it.  I know with my last surgery I "lived" in my recliner for 3 weeks.
It would be so nice to be able to get up and down by myself for my little exercise walks and potty breaks.

 Barb,

Amother great help was my walking stick.

I moved the recliner forward, then used the stick to balance myself as I stood.  You can get a stick or cane for about 20.00

For a cane or walking stick, you may want to check thrift stores or Craigslist free column or post a request under the wanted column.

I was in a clinic for the irst five nights so had a bed tht went up and down.  After that I slept in a regular bed and was fine.
