Saw my surgeon yesterday and had a bunch of stuff going on. Ended up I had a "fluid filled cyst" on my right arm which he drained and told to wear compression for 24 hours. His nurse wrapped it and I didn't think much about it. Was sort of out of it because he had to number me up and give me some pain killers while I was there to take care of some other stuff going on and didn't think to ask what I should do if it swelled back up. Took the wrappings off about 3 hours ago. Right now where he drained is at least as large as it was yesterday and hard. My forearm is swollen to at least 2.5 times the size of the other one and I don't even have a wrist right now. The incision site is purple and raised. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Surgeon is not back in the office until Thursday and not sure if I need to call the office or not. Thanks for any advice.

Personally, I would call the office first thing in the morning, they must have some sort of on call support.
