Just wondering what I should buy, I have the band, and I know I will be very tight, but want to stay away from salty stuff, so that leaves out soups. Any suggestions. I have having a full tt and lipo. Dr says to stick to clear liquids until I have a BM. Protein shakes aren't clear??? I hate the after taste of Isopure. And my DH will have to make the meals for a couple of days. What did you guys eat???

I didn't have much appetite for the first few days.

I had crystal light the first day after my tummy tuck and that was about it.

After that, I had Greek yogurt, applesauce, pudding.

I had made some corn and potato chowder prior to surgery and ate it for lunch and dinner for several days.

I didn't have any fluid removed from my band before surgery, so I was especially careful to start with liquids and progress to mushies and then full foods over the first 2 weeks or so.

Oh, Greek yogurt, luv it, and yeah I can make my own soup and control the sodium. Thank you!!
OT: Kath, did they move your port? I asked and she said maybe if it's in her way, otherwise no.

My port was slightly repositioned.  It was already center, about 2 inches above my belly button.

Now it is just left and stil about 2 inches above my new belly button.

I have a Realize band with a low profile port ... I can feel it but it can't be seen.

My surgeon did 2 lines of vertical sutures about 2 inches either side of the midline, so I look like I have a 6 pack...he calls it his own version of
Victorias Secret suturing.

I love looking down at a flat belly ......you are going to be thrilled, Mari!!   I can't wait to hear all about your surgery.

Hi. not sure what your band situation is but I was required to remove my saline. My surgeon did not want to chance me not being able to get proper nutrition in and/or be nausous. I did not have any eating restrictions given to me by my plastic surgeon other than to eat lots of protein because protein promotes healthy healing.

Thanks, not a lot of fluid in there, so I think I will be fine. But I know what you mean, I needed fluid out last time. I plan on having plenty of shakes on hand, just in case!

I have the ds but I am at home recovering as we speak. I ate chicken noodle soup, yogurt both reg and Greek, Italian water ice ( my throat hurt after the breathing tube, I always have this problem) and a bunch of protein shakes. I am eating eating eggs as we speak.

Hope you are feeling good, I forgot about the throat hurting. Ugghh. Eggs are good, I will boil some, (I can't stand any other kind, anymore).
How long ago did you have your surgery? How are you feeling, now?

I had it a little over a week ago. I have had an okay recovery(darn drains are a bugger to me). Got those out today and feel heaps better! My body always rejects the drains though but recovery has been flying by!
