United Healthcare and plastics... Any luck getting coverage?
I have United Healthcare with no plastics coverage. It has nothing to do with United Healthcare and everything to do with your employer. They chose the coverage you have, United follows the rules your employer sets up.
12/09 and 6/11, 9 skin removal procedures with Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico
Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
You have to read your employers health care policy to find out what rider they purchased to see if it has any exclusions. I have United Healtcare now and it totally excludes any type of reconstructive surgery except for breast cancer. It specifically says no reconstructive surgery due to extreme weight loss. Very thankful that I had mine done prior to my employer changing carriers as the previous one did cover reconstructive surgery.
Ditto on everything they said and My employeer also opted out on the plastics coverage. So self pay for me too.
